Frequently Asked Questions

After School

Are programs co-ed?

Yes!

What grades are the programs open to?

Programs are open to the grade levels listed on the individual program’s page.

Are practices split by grade?

Practices are split by skill to create an appropriately challenging environment for each player. This may mean that players are moved into different groups with different coaches.

What equipment does my child need for practice?

Water! For basketball practices, we generally have access to water fountains, but for soccer programs we rarely do. You may also send a snack with your child if they need one. Also the proper athletic wear for indoor/outdoor sports.

How does my child get to practice after-school?

The school is provided a roster of who’s participating and they work with the teachers as well as our coaches to get everyone to the right spot, typically at the gym. That being said, it’s important to send a note with your child the first day of practice reminding teachers that they have practice.

When does registration end?

Registration remains open until a program is full. Rosters are submitted the day before the first practice and again before the second week. Because of the risk of players not getting to the right spot after school, signing up after the roster has been submitted means your child can start the second week.

Where should my child meet the coaches before practice?

Typically we meet students either at the gym or by the main office. However, this varies by school so you’ll receive a specific location by email as we approach the first practice.

Is there an After-School Bus for my child to take home after practice?

We do not provide an after-school bus although occasionally the school may offer one. Please check with your school office!

What is your weather policy?

We do our best on inclement weather days to keep the players safe and still get as much soccer in as possible. In the event we have to cancel for weather, we’ll notify you through a combination of email and text message (if opted-in). The school will also be notified so that students are dismissed according to their regular dismissal procedure.

If a make-up date has been scheduled, the scheduled date will be activated. In some cases, due to facility availability and scheduling, make-up dates are not possible. If this is the case, make-up dates are offered at a practice time outside of the after-school hours.

What is your cancellation policy?

If a program does not meet a minimum of 8 players, a program may be canceled. A full refund and a discount towards our Developmental League program will be issued.

What if I'm late to pick my child up after practice?

We have a 10-minute grace period after practice has ended for you to pick-up your child. Since our coaches have additional practices to coach in the evenings, there will be a $20 fee after the grace period and additionally for every 20 minutes beyond to cover their lost time coaching.

What is your refund policy?

We understand life happens. If for any reason your child can’t finish (or start) a season, you have until the fourth week of practice to withdraw and you will receive a full prorated refund minus a $15 processing fee.

Where does my child go after practice?

Dismissal after-practice happens from the front of the school. Coaches will escort players who go back to their school’s after-care program after practice.

What is your parent participation policy?

We encourage parents to watch practice but ask that they give players and coaches plenty of space by watching a distance from the field or court. Our coaches are happy to talk to parents after all players have been safely dismissed to their guardians after practice!

Development League

Is my child ready for league play?

If your child feels up to giving the league a try, that is generally the key factor. Our coaches look to create an environment geared towards early successes to build their confidence right away. The goal is to create a positive environment that allows beginners and experienced players to find ways to contribute to the group regardless of the talent levels of the other players in the league.

Early registration remains open until two weeks prior to the first practice of the extended practice schedule. After that, registration closes at the deadline date prior to the regular practice schedule.

Where should my child meet the coaches before practice?

Players should go directly to the school’s field or gym. Front doors are typically locked in the evening, so you’ll want to go to the door leading directly into the gym. Look out for an email before practices begin containing details on the gym’s location.
