The Junior Academy returns as we hit the fields this fall!
With the Junior Academy, we’ve created the perfect balance of training and gameplay by taking the developmental approach of a recreational team and combining it with the coaching of a travel team. What does that mean? We have elite, experienced coaches who will help your child reach their athletic potential.
In fact, each Junior Academy coach has experience at both the grassroots level fostering kid’s love of the game, and at the travel level where kids are competing at the highest level.
Whether your child is looking for their first time playing on a team sport, or they’re looking to prepare for travel soccer, the Junior Academy puts your child at the center of the experience. We give them the fun, confidence, and support they need to develop while having an incredible sports experience. And all while respecting mom and dad’s time!

7 weeks of play – 7 practices, 4 game days

Thursdays – Glen Haven Elementary (Silver Spring)
Fridays – Strawberry Knoll Elementary (Gaithersburg)

5:30 – 6:30 pm – Grades K-1
5:00 – 6:00 pm – Grades 2-3
6:05 – 7:05 pm – Grades 4-5
Fees
$145 for the season
Fees are not collected during registration. Scholarships are available for FARMs students.
Program Summary
Game Days
Held on Sunday afternoons, Game Days are held on two weekends of each month and are included as a part of your registration. Players are encouraged to attend, but attendance is optional. Game Day schedules are released after the first week of practice.
Yearly Calendar
We hold four seasons over the year, with 2-3 weeks in between each season.
A year-long commitment to the Junior Academy is not required. Many players in the Junior Academy may eventually play for our Competitive Teams, however, our goal is to develop each player and make sure they have opportunities to play at a level that best suits them.

Equipment
Cleats and shinguards are required on game days. Players can purchase a game jersey for $20 or use an available loaner.
Safety
Keeping players safe is our number one priority. We are committed to providing a healthy environment following all CDC, state, and county guidance on safety standards. At this time, face coverings are optional for players. We will adjust our policy to comply with the most current Covid-19 restrictions as they are updated.
